Psychologists from the University of Sydney, after a series of studies, concluded that the heaviest day of the week is Wednesday. It is Wednesday, people feel that until the weekend is far, and at the same time on that day accounted for the largest number of cases at work. Widespread belief that the heaviest day of the week is Monday, especially Monday morning, according to Australian psychologists, wrong.
Researchers initially interviewed 200 people about what kind of day they feel most unpleasant. Most named Monday.

Dear Amy,
I wanted to say thanks for performing at the Women of Nantucket Festival at the Whaling Museum
Our visitors enjoyed the performance and the songs that you performed were a terrific range between songs written by women, songs written about women and about Nantucket women. I enjoyed listening to both you and Susan because you complimented each other so well. I enjoyed your individual performance as well.
Thank you, Chris Mason

Hello Amy -
A belated note to let you know how much I enjoyed your concert on Saturday evening. I had a dinner commitment at 8 PM so unfortunately needed to leave early, but wanted you to know it was a great treat to hear you sing and play, as well as hear the lyrics to the songs you’ve written. It was a very special evening.
I hope the rest of your weekend was terrific and that you had a wonderful Mother’s Day.
All the best,
Lisa

Oh my god, Amy Amy Amy... I found you! Annabelle Murphy here, your long lost Australian Avignon room mate... won't write much here as it looks like its public but OH MY GOD! You look fantastic, can't get this computer to make noise so can't hear you sing but will do asap. You won't believe it but I'm staying with Avignon Jeff in Singapore for a few days and we were reminissing that its almost exactly 20 years since we all met. And I said that we had to try and find you... So here I am sitting up late at night on the computer with jet lag searching through facebook, etc... I've tried googling you before but no luck... But this time... bingo... your face suddenly comes up and here you are... Looking exactly the same... And you're a singer songwriter! (Brings back fond memories of many singalongs). I'd love you to email me. I'm not sure how this page works, so if I don't hear from you soon, I'll try emailing you from your MySpace site. It is all in spanish and I wasn't sure what I was doing. Much much love to you. Hope to hear from you. xxx Annabelle

Hi Amy,
I received your CD a few days ago and popped it into my cd player in my car and have listened to it probably 15 times. I have grown to love it. it actually becomes stronger, more nuanced, and just plain good each time I listen. I hear something different each time- (maybe I'm just slow of mind) but I think it's because it is truly layered- and the powerful combination of your writing, the great musicians supporting and interweaving with you, and the range of your voice both inner and outer makes for a really wonderful listening experience. I can imagine you must be very proud of this effort.
The Wave brings me back to the best of Neil Young and Nicolette Larsen..
Darlin' made me and my friend Susan well up. it's a timeless lullaby and love song to one's child.
Catch and Release has Patsy Cline revisiting from the grave and your voice was unlike anything I'd heard from you before on If It Weren't For You.
All I can say is BRAVO!! And thanks for the great songs.
Love to you three.. Robin

Amy,
My friend and I caught your show when we visited Nantucket for the first time in October. I love Country music and Bluegrass and I have to say I was stunned by your songwriting ability. Please continue writing and playing your beautiful music. I would love to own "Nantucket to Nashville".
Many thanks, Katie Packard

Amy and Susan tore it up at Parkside Lounge on the lower east side. Andy followed with his wife Nancy and Matt. What a great show really. Matt's guitar tricks were very entertaining his playing first rate. Andy had some heartfelt moments, quite moving. Amy and Susan did a great job together and each individually shine. Amy's Dolly cover, you could tell she just dug it.
Overall there was a talented energy created. An atmosphere of creativity and skill that you often don't see when touring the bars. Good show.

Happy New Year!
I just wanted to share with you all my magical apostle plant in bloom-
When I woke up this morning and saw the beautiful, delicate, intricate flowers and their complicated way they emerge from the plant- I was filled with awe. Nature speaks to us in many magical ways, but the plants and their flowers speak to me most clearly. This plant in bloom this morning promised me a year filled with awe & beauty. It also said that things may get complicated at times but that beauty & change & growth would always find its way to me & those I care about.
peace,
maggie

I LOVE your songs! I listen to my mom's CD ALL the time! Your songs and singing have really inspired me to sing some more on my own. I may still be at the start of Middle School but I will always be determined to sing and write songs the same way you do. I'm going to tell al my friends about you, and my teachers too! It is a good feeling listening to your music because I feel like I can just sit back and dream about how the song would lay out in my head. (Like a music video) Thank you SO much for inspiring me, and I hope I can get more people to get comments on your website and buy your CD's.

Amy,
Your CD is brilliant!
I had it playing almost the entire ride home to Maryland. Dar Williams, The Dixie Chicks, Bob Dylan and Neil Young were in the changer too, but I kept wanting to listen to you. The songs have also stuck in my head and keep playing. I'm so excited for you.
Also know that my friend Laura really enjoyed your performance the other night. Her recent
e-mail said something about your "wonderful essence."
Take Care, and Congratulations,

Amy, -I happen to think songwriters are some of our greatest treasures-Some people can write poetry, some people can play music, but so few can actually put them together in a way that touches us deeply-Your songs have a simple, uncomplicated elegance, let's say a spiritual purity, especially when you're writing about love that's closest to you, they really don't need much adornment, like a natural beauty without makeup, but I'm flattered to be able to add some little extra without getting in the way of the song-
